Wow, the year is cruising past so very fast....and I am so very much behind!
I had the most wonderful visit with Lolly, David and my two favorite boys - Henry and Charlie. I was able to go with Henry to his school, Wingra, for lunch on Friday. And then I was able to be there for his sixth birthday, which was very special for me!
Everyone is his class was invited along with his other friends and we all went to the indoor pool to swim and have a wonderful birthday celebration. He and Charlie enjoyed every minute...as did I as well.
Madison WI was cold compared to Phoenix, but I managed to be warm enough. We had a giant snow storm one day, tons of snow, but Charlie and I played in the snow for a fun time. The boys LOVE the snow and are very good skiers as are Mom and Dad!
I am back in Phoenix now working as best as I can at Arcadia and helping David with his asthma inhaler study project. He has gotten a nice grant funded by the Centers for Disease Control to study rural asthma patients with his newly created GPS inhaler. This is a very exciting study to better understand asthma in rural areas and to learn more about the relationship of rural environmental exposures and asthma attacks.
I head to the east coast in early March to see Matt and Anna in DC, then to Boston to see Liz and Rob, and then to New York to see Rebecca and Mark where Becky and I shall share our birthday celebrations! What a great trip - needless to say I am very excited! The AmTrak train makes it so easy to get from one city to another! And I shall lots of news to report when I return.
I continue to deal with the chemotherapy each and every day, and I must admit some days I feel better than others. But it is great to plan ahead to being away from Phoenix to see my wonderful children whom I email each and every day! Email is the BEST!
Please do take care - and thank you for your notes to me.
